DFW INCORRECT USAGE

Holy shit. Documented evidence of a DFW grammar mistake. In point #1, Wallace states that "backwards" and "afterwards" are the only two prepositions ending in -ward that also have an 's.' Assuming that's true, it's not actually a factoid, or a "questionable or spurious statement presented as fact."
